4C. The 304 stainless steel. The 304 stainless steel is the highest quality stainless steel used in the automotive industries. Normally found in exhaust tips, clamps, bolts and other small exhaust components where strength is very important. 

Type 304 is the most versatile and widely used stainless steel. Sometimes it is referred to by its old name 18/8 which is derived from the nominal composition of type 304 being 18% chromium and 8% nickel

Type 304 stainless steel is an austenitic grade that can be severely deep drawn. The 304 grade stainless is tough and nearly impervious to rusting because it has around 20% chromium and 10% nickel content in the alloy. 

The high nickel content makes 304 an austenitic stainless steel. Because of its low ferrous content, 304 can develop a golden color when exposed to high heat over time. The ferrous metal content is so low that magnets won’t stick to it, not like T409.

4D. Titanium. Titanium has a chemical composition of 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium, 0.25% (maximum) iron, 0.2%(maximum) oxygen, and the remainder titanium. It is extremely lightweight and strong. The sound can be fully differentiate when compared to standard Stainless Steel exhaust system because Titanium is less dense than steel allowing it to produce a more exotic “Metallic” sound.

4E. Inconel. Inconel exhaust tubing is made from an alloy of nickel, chromium and iron to withstand extreme heat. Utilized in various applications such as automotive exhaust systems, aerospace components, and industrial equipment. 

Inconel 625 or alloy 625 has approximately 65% nickel, 22% chromium, 9% molybdenum, and 4% niobium. Inconel is an amazing material for high temperature exhaust work. It manages heat far better than stainless steel and can be used to create components even lighter than Titanium.

STILLEN engineers had gone through multiple different exhaust configurations and prototypes to determine what would give the best performance, best flow and best sound. 

After months of exhaustive testing the team determined that the best design starts with a stainless steel flange precision TIG welded to 2.5” tubes leading into a CNC bent and CNC machined X pipe.  

The team had tested a true dual exhaust system and determined that it was too loud and too “flat” sounding.  Something very common with twin turbo V6 engines.  

For the best effort to get the best performance possible, STILLEN will not restrict the engine by going from dual 2.5” tubes to a single 3” mid-pipe.  

The perfect solution was via an X pipe with a cross-sectional area of around 4”.  Merge is possible for the left and right banks which improved the sound tremendously without restricting the exhaust flow.  

Additionally, it allowed the team to fit the largest possible collector through the narrow chassis tunnel in the center of the car.

1. To increase the air flow

2. To smoothen the air flow

These two (2) objectives was achieved with brilliant design to fully occupy free space in RS6 engine bay by re-design the entire air box to increase and smoothen the air flow. The design also include the more exposure of air filter angle to the turbos. 

On the other note, the size of the turbo inlets was increased dramatically up to 85% more in cross section area at the openings. This will increase air flow tremendously. 

The air flow was smoothen by maintaining laminar flow from an advance organically shaped system with rounded panel filter. Eliminating sharp corners with round shape had improved the laminar flow significantly.

Smooth transition of air flow with more volume from the filter to the turbo inlet will ensure the turbo will operate better, more efficient. Eventuri intake system was engineered to arrest formation of turbulence that may affect turbo performance.

Eventuri partnership with BMC for a bespoke filter had ensured two (2) crucial parameters; continuous flow of clean air and the largest filtration surface area is achieved.

The successful result of Eventuri Audi C8 RS6 / RS7- Black Carbon Intake System- Gloss eveEVE-C8RS6-CF-INT performance gains comes from a complete intake system developed by Eventuri. 

Result below were independently tested with different states of tune: 

1. Performance Increase for Stock ECU : 15-25hp, 11-20ft-lbs

2. Performance Increase for Stage 1* : 45-50hp, 40-45ft-lbs

3. Stage 1 Acceleration 100-200Km/h : Reduced by 0.6s

4. Performance Increase for Stage 2* : 60-80hp, 60-70ft-lbs

Formed Collectors advantages:
The 3-to-1 formed collectors decrease turbulence and increases exhaust velocity. The result is increased horsepower, torque and improved throttle response.

On top of that, the heavy duty flanges were introduced to improve the design. The 1-5/8" thick one-piece flanges are used to prevent warpage to ensure a leak-free seal over the life of the vehicle.

Optimized Tube Lengths:
