Competition Clutch Lightweight Flywheel for Scion FR-S & Subaru BRZ

Competition Clutch Lightweight Flywheel for Scion FR-S & Subaru BRZ are made from 4140 forged steel and are a one piece design. The 4041 steel was used to avoid the chances of ring gear separation and surface warpage friction.

The 4140 is actually a chromium and molybdenum alloy steel with an excellent weight to strength ratio. It is stronger that standard steel. The “1” in 4140 indicates the additional of chromium at higher level than 46XX steels. 

Competition Clutch Lightweight Flywheel for Scion FR-S & Subaru BRZ is a high performance flywheel vary from 8lbs to 18lbs subject to applications. Available for 2 versions; for N/A or street drive and for track or racing purposes. 

1. The Lightweight Steel Flywheel (ST suffix). This type is recommended for N/A or street drive applications. It preserves low end torque and driveability. Well suited for gravity, Stage 1 and Stage 2 clutch applications.

2. The Ultra Lightweight Steel Flywheel (STU suffix). This type is recommended for force induction, track, rally or racing applications. This super light flywheel with less material and weight loss will give a quicker revving capabilities. Really suitable for Stage 3 and up clutch applications.

Note: These flywheels will work with all performance and stock clutch assemblies. Not all applications have the ST and STU versions. The correct flywheel step can be obtained in the CCI catalog or by direct calling/ contact the Competition Clutch.
