Sufficient amount of air will ensure the engine runs efficiently. 

A normally aspirated (N/A) or a turbo engine need high density/ cooler air to become more efficient due to high O2 content on colder air.

Spoon had refined this idea, produced prototypes of air intake duct and testing them on cars/ the bench. For the ultimate test, Spoon installed the air duct to their racing car and ran the 25 Hours at Thunderhill.

The effectiveness of the air intake duct was obviously seen. All drivers came back with positive feedback, experiencing good torque at all rpms making the car easier to drive. 

With higher-than-expected fuel efficiency, Spoon team were able to finish the race first-in-class.

Using data obtained from racing, final modifications were made to finally produce the SPOON SPORTS Carbon Air Duct.

Spoon Carbon Air Duct comes in two separate parts:

1) The air scoop placed inside the front grille, helps to shutout hot air accumulating in the engine bay. 

2) The air duct plate placed inside the engine bay delivers fresh air to the air cleaner box.

**With the stock air intake configuration, air is taken in from inside the front grille, possibly including air heated from the radiator, especially in low-speed corners. 

By placing an air scoop at the very front of the grille, Spoon product ensures the flow of clean air is unaffected from the radiator as well as actively taking in airflow from driving.

The Air Duct Plate placed inside the engine bay ensures delivery of clean air from the air intake scoop.

Without disturbing the well-designed heat insulation structure of the stock intake layout, Spoon Carbon Air Duct helps to secure cooler and stable flow of air for maximum power output of the FK8.

The Air Scoop is made from FRP and the Air Duct Plate is made from Prepreg Carbon/ Kevlar.

Compatible with both the stock bumper or the SPOON Aero Bumper.

The RS5/RS4 Eventuri system uses Eventuri Patent Pending Carbon fibre Housings which gives aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filters to the throttle bodies. 

It is not just another cone filter with a heat shield but a unique design which invokes the Venturi affect.

Based on an independent dyno graph showing the comparison between the Eventuri and the stock airboxes on a standard RS5, the power is increased through a large portion of the rpm range not just at the peak. 

This translates on the road to increased part throttle and full throttle response with the car pulling much more eagerly to the redline. 

Based on the data, the highest Eventuri VS lowest stock recorded showing a gain of over 32hp at the wheels for RS5.

On the other hand for B8 RS4,  the Dyno  a considerable gain in both torque and power - with 25ft-lb toque gained in the midrange and 25hp gained before peak rpm.

So to speak, significant HP and Torque are clearly gained with this Eventuri unit for Audi B8 RS5/ RS4. A great technology to excite.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis was performed on this wing to support validation of its aerodynamic design. 

Each GTC Series airfoil is composed of lightweight and durable carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composite materials. 

These airfoils contain pre-pregnated woven carbon fiber sheets for superior strength and low weight.
