Honda Civic Type R TC (manufactured by Honda Performance Development) for 2020 TC America series officially adopted parts Civic TYPE R. The aero bonnet for exclusive use of Civic TYPE R FK8 finally was revealed.

It is designed to increase the volume of the air intake for extensive engine operations especially for K20C engines.

The K20C engine boasts high output. The V-shaped ducts and main ducts will disperse heat generated from the turbine on the left and right. During high speed, this section will generate negative pressure for highly efficient heat dispersion.

The heat from exhaust affected the total duct area of approximately 150 cm2. J’S Racing Aero Bonnet Type-V FRP improved engine potential by lowering water temperature, oil temperature and intake air temperature. 

J’S Racing Aero Bonnet Type-V FRP proved to be strong enough to withstand high speeds of 220km or more without a bonnet pin (Test vehicle: Boost 1.8kgf / cm2 / 365ps specification ・ Temperature 30 °C ・ No rain protection).

By reducing the weight of the genuine bonnet to 7.8kg, further improved cornering performance is demonstrated and realized.

Since it is compatible with genuine bonnet catch, it can be installed by bolt-on even without a bonnet pin.
