1. The OKUYAMA Strut Tower Bar for BMW E46 M3 will suppress twisting of the body and improves handling and stability. 

2. In fact, this is a standard item for body reinforcement for a better steer and performance.

3. The stress will be transmitted from the road surface to the strut upper part through the shock absorber that support the weight of the engine.

4. The stress from road propagates through all connecting components in the front section and causes a high load (twist) on the body. 

5. Connecting the left and right suspension upper mounting parts with OKUYAMA Strut Tower Bar will increase the body rigidity and perform the original work of the suspension.

6. Apart from that it will also suppress the twist of the body that occurs during cornering and improve handling and stability simultaneously.

7. The pipe built from aluminium was an oval shaft with high torsional rigidity. (Pipe diameter 20 mm x 40 mm Thickness: 3.0) 

**Installation is bolt-on. 
The strut upper part of the E46 M3 comes in two types, a flat type and a stepped type, but it can be attached to either one.

1. This is the easiest and least intrusive way to install a true FD style secondary/ dual rear calipers for hydraulic handbraking; aka performing mad skids! 

2. The use of an in-line system will lead to constantly changing brake bias. This kit is better for consistent and reliable sideways action.

3. With this kit you can install a hydraulic handbrake for epic drift entries, controlled slides in rallies and tight corners in autocross- all with just a few simple bolt on parts.

**Available with two options;

  • E46 M3, 330, and Z4M models are designed for use either Wilwood Dynapro Lug Mount calipers (such as Wilwood 120-9703, which is SLG recommendation). If you choose Dynapro calipers with a smaller piston area the brake will be stiffer and vice versa.
  • E46 32X models are designed for use with either the Wilwood GP320 calipers (LH Wilwood 120-10715 & RH 120-10715

5. All model brackets share the following:

  • Billet aerospace 6061 aluminum construction
  • Gold Anodizing
  • ARP Hardware for connection to trailing arm, and 12.9 hardware found in other locations
  • Allows for use of factory wheel speed/ABS sensors
  • Does not require the removal of axle, hub, or wheel bearing to install, unlike comparable products
  • Requires removal of dust shield and factory e-brake system
  • 323/325/328 models require the use of a 330 rotor and caliper in the primary location when paired with E39 caliper brackets
  • All other models use the standard primary caliper and rotor

The 323/325/328 bracket requires users to install a 330 rear rotor and caliper to replace their existing rotor and caliper when the dual caliper bracket is the BMW E39 caliper style. Wilwood caliper style does not require this.

 Install notes

  • Remove caliper and rotor.
  • Remove factory e-brake shoes, mechanisms, and cables. May be necessary to cut cables and punch it out of the trailing arm from the backside.
  • Unbolt the dust shield and cut it, so you are able to bend it around the hub and remove it from the vehicle.
  • Clean the trailing arm to remove rust and uneven surfaces.
  • Bolt up the billet bracket to the trailing arm, using blue Loctite on the ARP hardware.
  • Install the 10mm allen head screw into the bracket from the backside of the trailing arm, through the factory e-brake cable hole.
  • Install brake rotor
  • Reinstall primary caliper in factory location, and install secondary caliper to the bracket.
