Brian Crower Crankshaft- Subaru EJ205- WRX 79mm Stroke, 4340 Billet
1. This is a high performance crankshaft from Brian Crower. This crankshaft had undergone various tight regime process for the best quality.
2. Built from 4340 billet- this material is known for high strength and toughness. Contain 1.8% nickel-chromium-molybdenum high hardened high tensile steel. Tensile range at 930-1080 Mpa.
3. Undergone Shot Peened process- Cold working process to produce compressive residual stress layer. Modify mechanical properties of metal.
4. Magna Flux inspected- also know as MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection). It is an NDT (Non Destructive Test) process to detect surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic material.
5. Gone through Nitrided Process- multi steps heat treatment process that diffuse nitrogen into the surface of metal to create a case- hardened surface.
6. It is fully profile counterweighted to reduce windage from the crankcase. This will create less oil resistant for better RPM potential that lead to horsepower improvement.
7. Specifications:
-Stroke: 79mm
-Rod Journal: 52mm
-Main Journal: 60mm
-Weight: 19.2 lbs
