Forge Motorsports Intercooler Upgrade for Porsche 997 Gen 2 FMINT997G2

Fitment: Porsche 997.2/ 911 Turbo

1. Inspire from Forge Motorsports huge success in developing intercoolers for the Porsche 996 and 997 Gen1.

2. Begin with improving airflow through the intercoolers using an enlarged 60mm silicone hoses and a redesign the intercooler end tanks. 

3. Followed by the cooling air that passes over the intercooler. Similar to the 996, testing showed that the original OEM ducting performed perfectly.

4. The new intercoolers for this Porsche 997 are similar in dimension to the OEM units, but thicker. 

5. The real improvement came with the complete re-design of the intercooler core, after testing proved a bar and plate design to be more thermally efficient in this installation.

6. Gain an creditable increase of 20hp during testing. This installation allows the engine to produce more power and torque throughout the rev range.

7. When the engine running cooler, engine longevity will be significantly improved. The use of the original ducting and mountings gives a very tidy and efficient installation.
